George Marsolek received his Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre Design from St. Edward’s University in May of 2011. Since arriving in Austin in 2007, he has worked as a freelance Technical Director for many local theatre companies, including Zilker Theatre Productions, Austin Shakespeare, Trouble Puppet Theatre, Penfold Theatre, FronteraFest, Transit Theatre Troupe, and Summer Stock Austin. For Palindrome Theatre, he has designed Melancholy Play, At Home at the Zoo, and both the Austin and Edinburgh Fringe Festival productions of Hedda Gabler. In addition to Palindrome Theatre, his design work has been seen at the Mary Moody Northen Theatre (On The Verge), Penfold Theatre (It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play) and KidsActing (Sherlock Holmes). He is currently the Technical Director of KidsActing, and has also worked with Zach Scott Theatre, Doctuh Mistuh Productions, Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre, Fusebox Festival, IATSE, and D-Projects.
